Recognize Those Who Make A Difference

Help us recognize people who are making a difference in our field. Please consider submitting a nomination for a colleague that fits one of the two awards listed below.

Fay Honey Knopp Award

The Fay Honey Knopp Award commemorates the memory of Fay Honey Knopp's advocacy, support and vision of compassion and caring in the treatment of individuals who have engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior; and her caring, support and mentoring of individuals taking on the challenge of caring for this clinical population. The Fay Honey Knopp Award will be presented to a person studying, working or volunteering in the field of sexual abuser treatment, research or sexual abuse research whose work exemplifies the qualities and vision of human goodness that Fay Honey Knopp brought to the field and whose work and spirit is an inspiration to others.

To nominate a candidate for the Fay Honey Knopp Award of Spirit and Humanity:

  • Submit a brief biographical sketch/resume of the nominee.
  • Describe the personal and professional qualities that the nominee brings to their work and how they exemplify Ms. Knopp's vision and mission of eliminating sexual abuse and making our communities safer.
  • Include at least two letters of support.

Marilyn Etcheverry Award of Excellence

The Marilyn Etcheverry Award of Excellence is given annually to an individual or program delivering service in the field of evaluation and treatment of sex offenders which has been identified as having performed exemplary work.

To nominate a candidate for the Marilyn Etcheverry Award of Excellence:

  • Submit a brief description of the program's background or, if the nominee is an individual, a brief biographical sketch/resume of the nominee.
  • Describe how the person or program has excelled in the evaluation and treatment of sex offenders. Describe the qualities that the individual or program brings to their work.
  • Include at least two letters of support.
